Northern Lights Adventures and Captain Sean invite you to try their ice fishing trips.
After meeting at the pre-determined location within the vicinity of Ashland, Wisconsin, ride out to the fishing spot on comfortable snowmobiles with heated seats and hand guards.
Then Sean and company will do all the lifting, drilling, and scouting while you get set up in the toasty two, three, or five-person insulated shelters.
You’ll have fun jigging and watching the fish swim up on the Garmin Live Scope Plus. When there’s a fish on the Jaw Jackers outside the shacks, Sean will call you out to reel them in. This full-day trip is fully guided and outfitted and includes a grilled meal on the ice.
All you will need to bring is a paper copy of your Wisconsin fishing license with Great Lakes Salmon and Trout Stamp and appropriate clothing, and your favorite beverages.
Safety is Sean’s number one priority, which is why he carries Nebulus automatic inflatable safety devices, a fully stocked first aid kit, and a knowledge of the ice that only someone fishing daily can provide. While there’s no such thing as safe ice, Sean, like you, has a family to get home to and doesn’t take an added risk. Trips don’t start or go to places where there isn’t adequate ice. Therefore, the fishing will be different on day to day basis, as species will be targeted based on ice conditions.
Unlike on our summer fishing trips, there is no filet service on hard water tours, because the fish will be frozen by the end of the day. However, if you have questions about processing techniques, Sean is happy to share what he knows with a demonstration on a freshly caught specimen using his manual or electric bubba knife if you desire.
