Zanzibar Big Game Fishing – Ocean Spirit
Zanzibar Big Game Fishing is located in Kendwa and has all it takes to show you the unique experience of fishing the Zanzibar waters!
The Captain and crew will do their best to ensure you have a fun day to recharge your soul and relax your mind while enjoying the great outdoors. You’ll be using techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, and popping, all to get on that bite. This involves 5 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Sailfish, Marlin, Wahoo, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and Trevally, depending on the season, length of the trip, and conditions on the day.
Your adventure begins on board a 24’ Ocean Spirit boat that can fit a maximum of 6 anglers. The vessel has enough power to reach some excellent fishing grounds, including Leven Bank and Pemba Island. For your convenience, the boat is fitted with a toilet and a fighting chair.
All the necessary fishing gear is included in the price of your trip. All that’s up to you is to use it as best you can. You will share the catch with the crew; please contact the captain before the trip if you have any questions about keeping the catch. Keep in mind that Marlin and Sailfish are strictly catch and release. Don’t forget to buy a fishing license before the trip.
You’ll find complimentary snacks and drinks on the boat, but you’re always welcome to pack your own drinks and snacks should you want to. Full-day trips include lunch.

Une expérience fabuleuse ! Tout commence à 5h45 du matin avec le transfert de mon l'hôtel à Matemwe vers kendwa organisé par la company dont les patrons sont très sympathique, arrivé à kendwa 6h20, 6h30 départ en mer avec le capitaine mounir et le pêcheur professionnel mamoudi qui sont formidable et font tout leurs possible pour que l'expérience soit fabuleuse. Je remercie toutes l'équipes pour m'avoir fait vivre cette superbe expérience de pêche au gros avec une prise d'une jolie dorade de +-8 kg. Je recommande fortement cette excursion de pêche pour zanzibar, bâteau très comfortable avec boisson sandwiches et fruit à disposition compris, et du matériels de pêche professionnels. Tout était au top. Un tout grand merci à vous, si je reviens en voyage sur zanzibar j' hesiterai pas à refaire l'expérience! Capri Sébastien. Belgique.
