Ancient City Surf Fishing welcomes you to St Augustine Beach for an epic time of Surf Fishing!
Come join local guide Jeremy Dumont, born and raised here in Saint Augustine, with over 35+ years of fishing knowledge. He will share his knowledge of FISHING THE BEACH SHORELINES. He will show you how to read the surf, what species are running at a particular season and what those species are feeding on, and what tackle and equipment to use and where to use it.
Public parking with bathroom facilities nearby.
Note: Transportation to/from the beach location is not provided by the guide.
All occupants upon arrival must provide Jeremy(guide) with an FWC issued Florida Saltwater Shore fishing license and sign a waiver. It’s free for FL residents and costs $17 per individual nonresident. Up to $700 fee if FWC is there to check and you dont have one!

Great for the family/beginners
3 Hour Pompano & Drum Surf Fishing on July 30, 2025 • 2 adults
My son had a fear of motion sickness on a boat so we chose the surf option. This was ideal for him to have plenty of room and action for his attention span. The pompano were not cooperating like we all wanted but it was not due to lack of effort of Jeremy and his crew keeping fresh bait on about 8 rods at once. We caught some keeper whiting, with some Jack Crevaille and catfish. Had a big one break off but that happens. You will learn alot about surf fishing and they make sure your kids have a good time. I would definitely recommend.

Jeremy was an outstanding fishing guide! He made the entire surf fishing trip enjoyable and educational. We caught whiting, bluefish, flounder, and even a stingray! His knowledge of the area and techniques was impressive. Highly recommend Jeremy if you want a memorable fishing adventure.

Had an amazing fishing experience with Jeremy! Jeremy was awesome, giving very detailed instructions , teaching about casting , explaining techniques and secrets of surf fishing , I am a fisherman myself but learnt so much from Jeremy! He definitely knows the beach and all the ways how to catch a fish, also has extremely positive attitude and very nice personality ! At some point we had fish on all fishing rods simultaneously! Would recommend this trip to anybody who wants to learn more about surf fishing , have great experience fishing from the shore and having great day on the beach!

Jeremy was an amazing guide, well prepared, kind, and very enthusiastic about surf fishing- I went by myself and he and I fished 3 rods and could barely keep them baited between us!
I was skeptical we’d be catching fish, I e seen many anglers on the beach the past 2 days and not one catch, it was the same where we fished- 30 other rods in the water up and down the beach- no fish being landed- except ours- easily landed 40 fish, pompano, whiting, some cats, sharks, it was a blast- had a couple big ones on but got bit off-
