What We Catch

Our general setup involves trolling with rods and local hand-lines, but we also offer live baiting, jigging, bottom fishing, and deep drops (1,000 ft+). If you have a specific species in mind, let us know when you book!
The Boat
Step aboard our 33’ Bertram—a classic fishing vessel built in 1980, powered by rebuilt 3208 Cat engines (yes, they purr!). The boat is equipped with top-of-the-line gear, including custom rods, Shimano TLD, and Okuma Makaira reels, to give you the best fishing experience possible.

Great day and first catch for my son
4 Hour Trip – Deep Sea Fishing (AM) on April 7, 2025
What can I say, capt. Tom and first mate Chris were awesome, we got to the dock and the boat was already setup and ready to go. There is a small boat ride out of the canal while Chris is setting up everything, he then explains the different types of lures and setup we have going. Keep in mind april is windy so the water had waves and fishing wasn't easy but we still ended up with 2 barracudas (and lost a few that ate bait), one was caught by my son on his first deep sea fishing trip and he was really happy about it. From start to finish, everyone was doing their best, changing up lures and making sure we had bait in the water all the time. Every questions were also answered without hesitation. I would recommend this charter to anyone and will be coming back during a fall trip to go after big game as I truly have confidence in Tom and Chris being able to catch some bucket list fish!

6 Hour Trip – Deep Sea Fishing (AM) on February 28, 2025
What a great trip. Trip was from 6am-12pm and soon as I stepped on board we left for the fishing grounds. Everything was done in advance which was great. We had a great trip caught two wahoo an amberjack dropped a mahi mahi at boat side and missed one hook up. Captain Tom and mate are terrific and worked hard to catch fish. Highly recommend fishing this boat. Will be back next year for another charter. Thanks guys for a great experience!!!!

4 Hour Trip – Deep Sea Fishing (AM) on December 22, 2024
We did a 4-hour charter with High Times on December 22. Captain Tom and first-mate Chris were great. We caught a couple bonito early on and a sailfish in the last hour. Catching the sailfish was incredible. But, the best part of the trip was the experience that Chris gave to my 9-year old son -who is absolutely obsessed with fishing. Chris was very patient with my son, answered all of my son’s questions, showed him all the bait and tackle, and was even teaching him how to set up the rigs. Chris made it a truly unforgettable first deep-sea trip for my son. Thank you to Tom and Chris for a great trip.

12 Hour Trip - Deep Sea Fishing on September 2, 2024
The Captain Tony and First Mate Chris were great to talk to and fish with all day, even if the fish didn’t want to bite. Very comfortable boat with everything you need to stay out all day. We did get a mahi that we took to Chris’s favorite restaurant Wacky Wahoo. That referral to that restaurant alone was worth the charter. Best fish I’ve ever had. Near the end of trip ended up booking up to a nice sailfish that we landed and got photos with and then had another bite immediately after we released the first one. It’s amazing how much and how fast the morale can increase from a fish on! Definitely would use them again! Thanks Tom and Chris for an unforgettable fishing trip of a lifetime!

We enjoyed the friendly behaviour of the Captain and his perfect fishing assistant. They make your fishing trip to pure joy whilst they do the work with a smile in their face. All you have to do is drilling the fish! And we got 7 nice fish which tasted great at home. The Captain himself cutted the fillets for us bevor we left the docks. We had a good time all the four hours, and even at home during dining our catch of the day!

Your captain
Oranjestad, Aruba
Capt. Tom was born in Aruba and has almost been on the water ever since. At the age of 13, Tom started working on (charter) boats and realized he loved what he was doing. In 2004 he decided to get an education and returned 10 years later. Since then, he has been back to doing what he loves - fishing, boating, and being on the water. Finally, in 2022 he was able to open his own charter company - High Times Charters.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
