Charter with Captain Mike Harter!
If you're ready to have fun fishing on Lake Hartwell, book a trip with Captain Mike Harter! Having logged many hours on Lake Hartwell, Captain Michael can tell you all about the local fishery.
Around here it's common to catch Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass, Striped Bass, and more if you come at the right time of year. During the trip, you might be spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You'll step aboard a 21' Nitro bass boat that can carry up to 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

My wife and I had a Great Morning with Captain Mike . Our first spot produced immediate action . We were constantly on the fish doubling up twice and even tripling up once. We caught Spotted Bass, Stripers , Catfish and a Gar . We would not hesitate to Book another Trip with Captain Mike the next time yhat we are in town. We fished on his Pontoon boat because I wanted my wife to feel more comfortable.

Thanks brother!
Captain Mike was a blast. We did not catch many fish but we did catch big fish.

we would have cashed a check in a tournament today!
OK where do I start? Incredible fishing to start with. The guy knows the lake. He knows every spot. He knows the right gear and technique for each spot and all the fish in the lake. His boat is clean and fully stocked. The 250 outboard gets the boat jumping and gets you to the spot FAST! The gear is top notch with poles and baits to fit any angler. He bends over backwards (twice) to give you anything he can give. But to me the most important thing is he is the best of people. He is kind, generous and his heart is huge. In a very short time he went from a guy I would fish with again to a guy I want to keep as a friend. If your looking for a trip that will leave you wanting to return every day of your life this is the guy!

Had a blast with you both!

My 13 year old son and myself took this fishing trip. Captain Mike was super informative and had the patience of a saint. We had lots of questions and he answered them all thoroughly. We caught many good sized fish. He had any and all fishing gear needed and even allowed my son to bring some of his own fiahing gear. At one point I wasn't feeling the best so he even stopped the boat so we could cool off in the water. This was a very special day for me and my son and it wouldn't have been possible without Captain Mike! Book now, you won't regret it!!! Thank you so much!

Thank you Krystal!
Capt. Mike meets his clients at a selected boat ramp closes to where the fish are depending on the time of year. He has a 21' Nitro Z21 bass boat for bass fishing and 22' Bennington Pontoon set up for striper fishing for up to 6 people. These waters are known for Bass/Stripers/Hybrids and he will show you how to catch them, whether you're using live bait, trolling or jigging. With great knowledge of the area and a good network of other guides, he has a trick or two up his sleeve, and the only way to learn is to join him out on the water!
