we had a fish on right away the broke an extremely heavy duty hook and got off. we then caught a small tuna and a bigger barracuda. all within a 12-1:30 pm time frame. the next 4 hours Doug fought weeds constantly trying to find clearings. A few possible bites but a lot if weeds. even though the fishing wasnt great it was still fun.

Captain Doug was very knowledgeable and wasn't gonna stop until we caught our fill of fish. I would highly recommend of you're ever in southern Florida

We booked this fishing charter 6 months ago because our kids love to fish and we knew we’d be in Florida. This fishing trip did not disappoint! Captain Doug Perez hustled - and I mean hustled - to make sure we did everything possible to hook some fish. We have small kids, 10 and 6, but Captain Doug made it so easy for them to reel in some big fish. We know there are no guarantees when it comes to fishing, so while we don’t catch dozens of fish, we did catch ones that our kids were most excited about - blackfin tuna, mahi mahi, kingfish, Bonita, and a barracuda. This was a huge success. Fishing can be daunting if you’re impatient, but I highly recommend American Made Charters to anyone in the area - he knows where the fish are! I would 100% book a charter with Captain Doug if we’re ever in Fort Lauderdale again. He was so friendly, made it easy for our kids to reel the fish in themselves and just really loves fishing - which was awesome because my kids always ask a million questions. Thanks for the best fishing experience - the kids haven’t stopped talking about it!!!!!

Captain Doug is top shelf! Great guy, great energy, great attitude, really knows his boat, gear and area. He was was even more invested in us putting fish in the boat than we were. when we got back to shore Doug even did all the paper work and helped me get my mount lined up for my wall, which saved me a bunch of messing around. Another Species off the check list and a great day on the water, I couldn't have had a better experience!! Doug, we will see you again buddy!!

Caption Doug was amazing , his personality from the start we knew we choose the right captain. He is very friendly, knowledgeable, and makes the fishing experience a 10/10 . The only regret we had is not spend the whole day with him. He spoke about fishing , house that you see while going to the ocean. Good music positive attitude. We got lucky and caught a King Fish. Sometimes you don’t catch anything . Hanging out with him while having beers would have been worth the trip. We have nice cloths and didn’t get dirty. Some had Sandals and some had shoes . Bring beers and food. You can cook what you catch . We ate our catch we loved it .. Thanks again Captian Doug. We will return with the wife’s .

we had some lite rain and some good sized waves but we were able to land a good sized sailfish and hook up to some other fish. We had an amazing time and learned a lot

What started as a possible bust due to weather, turned into a great trip. Captain Doug Perez was as good as it gets for a captain and guide. He put my wife and I on the fish while making us feel safe and comfortable on a day with some gnarly sea conditions. We will use American Made Charters again!

Captain Doug was awesome. He did a great job navigating the big waves the day had in store for us. We caught two wahoo and enjoyed the sun. We had great conversation and laughed a lot. I would recommend him to anyone at any level of fishing.

We had a great day out with Capt Doug. Boat is set up great with quality gear. Capt Doug hustled all day, got us on the fish and made sure we had a great time.
