Freedom Tours Fishing Unlimited want to show you why flats fishing in Belize is famous all over the world. The lagoon and mangrove swamps on the south and west of the island are the perfect territory for exciting flats species, even while being minutes away from the deep seas of the Caribbean to the east. World records have been set here, and the beautiful conditions and abundance of fish make the area a dream come true for fly fishermen.

You will be fishing aboard ‘Little Hooker’, a custom built 23 foot boat designed specifically for the flats. Equipped with a canopy to keep you comfortable while stalking the flats, the boat will navigate the skinniest water while you prepare to fly fish for your elusive targets. The boat is powered with a push pole, allowing you to approach spooky fish totally silently as you prepare to throw your fly. Ice is provided on board to keep your water cold.

Capt. ‘Hillyboo’ Lara and his experienced team will do everything they can to put you onto fish. Whether you are an experienced fly fisherman or a first time angler they will guide you around the flats, creating a fun and rewarding fishing experience. Most importantly, they will give you the tools and the knowledge you need to attempt your very own ‘grand slam’ of Bonefish, Permit and Tarpon.

Soft drinks, tackle and lures are provided: all you have to bring is sunscreen, snacks and a fishing license. No matter if you are fishing or snorkeling, Captain Hilly Boo’s boat has a full insurance covered! There is a 12.5% government sales tax that goes with each tour.
