Based out of Waukegan, Abby Fishing Charters is your ticket to a memorable time on the water.

Capt. Andy aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you're after! You can expect to utilize the trolling technique on your adventure. You're looking at 5 to 6-hour trips, where you'll usually go after the likes of Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, and Salmon, depending on the weather and time of year.

Your fishing adventure starts on a 34' Trojan boat that can safely take up to 6 anglers. You may bring whatever you like to eat and drink. And remember to bring a cooler to take the nice fillets home with you.

All the necessary fishing gear is included in the price of your trip. All that's up to you is to use it as best you can. Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time.

You're welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip.

Children are welcome aboard so you're good to get the young ones started early.

5 Hour Trip with Captain Andy, Abby Fishing Charter

Beyond amazing Captain and Crew. Captain Andy and First Mate Jim were awesome! My daughter and friend were first timers and Capt Andy and First Mate Jim made it memorable for them. I hadn't been salmon fishing since before covid and gave Captain Andy a try and I made the right choice! They were beyond entertaining and super knowledgeable about the waters they are fishing, all the way down to the "blueberry muffin" lure. I will definitely be using Abby Fishing Charter again!

A great day on Lake Michigan with Abby Fishing Charter!
6 Hour Trip (AM) MAX 6, MAY-AUG 31 on August 4, 2025
This was such a great adventure for us first-timers on a fishing boat! Captain Andy and co-captain Scott were so helpful and educational. We learned technique, about fishing in the great lakes, types of fish, and how fish are replenished. It was a good day for us and we took home a great haul. The boat is clean and well equipped, and Andy cleans and fillets all the fish. We can't wait to do it again in 2026!

I chartered a 6 hour boat with 5 of my friends (all in our late 20s) with Captain Andy and it was a great experience. Andy was very responsive in setting up our trip and worked with us to understand what we were looking to catch to ensure we had a great experience He is knowledgeable about where to fish and a pleasure to charter a trip with. He is very easy to talk to, and works hard to ensure you catch as much fish as you can while having a great time. I would recommend if you are looking for a fun, laid back day on the lake.

Half Day Trip With Captain Andy on the Abigail - Memorial Day 2025
5 Hour Trip (AM) MAX 6, MAY-JUNE 18'' on May 26, 2025
Captain Andy found the fish when not many boats were catching the volume that we caught. 15 Coho and 1 Steelhead - 3-6 lb range. Not many big ones but hopefully next time. Andy was flexible with timing of the trip. We were heading from shore by 5 a.m. so we could be back to shore by 10 a.m. and make it to the Cubs game. Thanks and looking forward to next time.
