Ready to catch some fish in Morehead City? Then Prop-Wash Charters has a trip with your name on it! With Captain Tripp at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Bonito, Cobia, Black Seabass, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Blue Marlin, Red Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Hammerhead Shark, Grunt, Snowy Grouper, and whatever else takes the bait. You'll target your catch by spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You'll step aboard a 2018 25’ Tidewater with space for 4 guest. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

AM half day trip
We set out on time and started trolling once we hit the fishing grounds which didnt take long. We caught some Spanish Mackeral and Blues. It was a smooth ride from start to finish and the crew was very accomodating. When we got back the first mate filleted our fish for us and they bagged it up in a ziplock. Very nice trip. I plan to go out on a full day with them in the future. I want to try out their fighting chair.
