Charter Boat Daybreak

5.0/5 (43 reviews)

Federally permitted
66 Harbor Boulevard, Destin, FL 32541, United States

The Charter Boat Daybreak is the perfect choice for a family fishing adventure. The boat is meticulously maintained, and has plenty of room to fish for up to 6 passengers.

The Daybreak is a no-nonsense fishing machine that has been recently upgraded with new electronics and tackle.

What makes the Daybreak unique is the catamaran style hull. This hull design allows the boat to be quick and responsive in all sea conditions. It also makes for an incredibly stable fishing platform with less side to side motion than most v-hull vessels. This could benefit anyone prone to motion sickness. The full cabin is air-conditioned, has plenty of seating, several bunks, and a walk-in bathroom.

The boat has both a Federal Reef Fish Permit and a Federal Migratory/Pelagic permit, as well as a vessel fishing license that covers all passengers. It carries all required safety equipment, including an EPIRB, VMS, life raft, life jackets, flares, and a VHF radio. There is also xm satellite radio with speakers in the cabin and on the back deck as well as a microwave.

The professional first mate will take care of anything you need to fish and work hard to make sure you enjoy your trip.  Once back at the dock, he will also clean the fish.

We pride ourselves on providing a professional, family-friendly experience,  and we strive to make sure that fishing aboard the Daybreak is the best part of your vacation!

6 Hour Trip (AM) – Summer on June 19, 2025

My 2 nephews, 2 brothers and I had a great time on an AM trip. We had lofty goals to catch some dinner and then find some larger fish on our 6 hour trip and captain AJ and his first mate Reed didn't disappoint. We hit red snapper, vermillion snapper, trigger fish, bonitas and even a 5-6 foot sand shark. Boat was a really nice upgrade from the smaller center console that we chartered 2 years ago and catching a little shade and some A/C in the cabin was great. I am pretty sure the 6 of us would all vote for a 10 hour fishing experience next time because we thoroughly enjoyed this trip.

Spring Break 6 Hour PM Trip

VERIFIED

6 Hour Trip - Spring/Fall (PM) on March 26, 2025

Captain Stan and First Mate Isiah were fantastic to fish with. Boat was clean and ready to go, and crew was very welcoming from the start. Best of all, we caught fish at every stop. Isiah kept us baited and catching fish as fast as we could drop a line. We caught all sorts of fish for eating and then went out and caught several Amber Jacks for some solid deep sea action. We will definitely be on the lookout for the Daybreak on our next vacation to Destin.

8 Hour Trip - Spring/Fall on October 18, 2024

Went on an 8 hr trip with my wife, father in-law, and my 10 yr old daughter. boat was very roomy with a table to eat lunch enclosed bathroom and a couple seating areas in the cabin. Deck hand and captain were very knowledgeable and kept us on The fish all day long. Started the day catching live bait which my daughter enjoyed because it was easier for her and plentiful. then we went and looked for amberjack. Ended up getting 6 or 7 with 2 keepers and also kept 2 blackfin tunas, and a bunch of big bonitas and vermillion snapper. Caught other fish we couldnt keep because they weren't big enough or werent in season like red snapper, trigger, and a small Spanish mackerel. I will be going home with about 60 lbs of fresh meat. Highly recommend, we had a blast, i will only use this charter from now on

4 Hour Trip - Spring/Fall (AM) on May 23, 2025

We had such a great time on Daybreak. Captain Steve put us right on top of the fish. On a 5hr trip 6 of us caught well over 150 fish. We were able to bring home over 30 vermillion snappers , a grouper and trigger fish. AJ kept bait on our hooks and did an excellent job cleaning the fish and cutting everything into filets. Great time was had by all.

angler's choice

The Angler's Choice Award is given to listings that consistently deliver a high-quality service and earn great reviews from customers.

Captain Stan started fishing the waters of Destin in the early 80's when he was a teenager and has held a USCG license since 1991. He earned his degree in Marine Biology from the University of South Alabama, then returned to Destin Harbor where he captained the party boat Emanuel for eight years. He owned and operated the charter boat Sea Winder from 1999 to 2013. Capt. Stan then purchased and refurbished the charter boat Destination which he currently operates. In the Fall of 2022, he purchased the charter boat Daybreak, operated by Capt. Tyler Short. Its was a perfect addition to the Destination.
