Welcome aboard!
Captain Bruce has been fishing Lake Erie since he was a kid and knows all the spots where to find Walleye. He fishes for trophy Walleye in the months of April–June, when the fish are concentrated around the reef complexes and flats west of Port Clinton. The western basin of Lake Erie is indeed the Walleye Capital of the World!
Your Walleye adventure will be aboard the Lu Sea, a beautiful, modern, and fast 28 ft. Boston Whaler Conquest, equipped with the latest fishing tackle and electronics. The Lu Sea features a comfortable cabin, private bathroom, and refrigerator. The captain will provide you with rods, reels, and tackle, and remember, if you are 16 or older you’ll need to buy a local fishing license before the trip.
Jigging and trolling methods are used based on customer preference early in the season, and both techniques can be applied on the same charter if time and lake conditions allow. Jigging typically yields more of the "eater" size Walleye in the mix, whereas trolling typically provides the best chance at a trophy and is the most efficient method from Mid May on.
Rig and Roll Charters is a child-friendly and safe charter service, so bring ‘em aboard and get the kids hooked while they’re young! Make sure to bring drinks and snacks for the journey, along with sunscreen (lotion), comfortable clothing, and a cooler for your catch. - Its customary to tip your crew at the end of the charter for good service.
How often would you rather be fishing? Turn that daydream into a reality with Rig and Roll Charters!

Captain Bruce has been fishing since 5 years old. He loves the outdoors and was blessed to have a mother and father and later a wife that encouraged his fishing hobby. When Captain Bruce was little, after he, his dad, and his brother would get out of the rowboat after fishing, the captain would continue to fish from the bank the rest of the day – he was obsessed. He bought his first boat when he was 14 years old and has fished in the inland waters of Michigan, the Great Lakes, and the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
