Our recent fishing trip with Captain Steve at Sunshine Charters in Charleston was an unforgettable experience. Right from the start, Captain Steve’s expertise and passion for fishing were evident. He greeted us with a warm welcome and a detailed briefing about the day ahead. His knowledge of the local waters and fishing spots assured us that we were in for a productive day.

My wife and I wanted to do something different with our two girls(13 and 15) on vacation. After doing a ton of research we chose Sunshine Charters of Charleston. Captian Steve was waiting at the dock ready to go when we arrived. After the safety brief we were on our way to what turned out to be the best day of our vacation. Captain Steve was awesome! He took the time casting for my girls so they had a better chance to catch fish in the river.  We caught Redfish right away and we had a blast! After the conditions changed Captain Steve took us out to the harbor where we all caught sharks! Bulls, Blacktips and a Bonnethead. I highly recommend booking a charter with Captain Steve, we had a fantastic time! Thank you Captain Steve!

Two of my grandkids were visiting us and I wanted to do something memorable with them.  The weather was perfect for a day on the boat.  We headed out and Captain Stephen did his best to find some good spots but the fish were not biting.  As we got closer to the end of our trip, Captain Stephen went back to one spot where we had a few nibbles and we got a big hit on the line, but the line snapped.  I think Captain Stephen was more upset than us.  We finally hooked into a couple of small sharks and the kids loved it.  Thanks again to Captain Stephen for making it a very memorable day.

Great Captain with enjoyable personality as well as good knowledge of the area for fishing. Very nice boat and equipment for our 1/2 day trip. We caught a variety of fish, some small and a large red fish that made an amazing dinner. Also caught and released a 3’ bonnet head shark. This was a fabulous experience for our 9 year old grandson’s first open water fishing experience. I would highly recommend Captain Stephen for your charter fishing trip!

I booked this experience for my father, husband and brother-in-law. They all loved the trip! Captain Stephen was very attentive to his fishermen. He helped them enjoy their day out on the water.

As Dad said when they got home, they went fishing, they didn’t go catching! Dad did catch one, but it was too small to keep. Husband and BIL both caught but lost them before they could get them reeled in.

Husband and BIL both have been fishing only couple times, many years ago, and not in coastal waters. Captain helped them and made suggestions to them. He was very attentive and was aware if anyone was having any trouble. They all commented that they did not bait a single line-Captain did it for them. Dad commented that he would bait one line as he was watching another one reel in and was there to help with any questions or problems.

Dad also was impressed with the cleanliness of the boat. BIL was captivated by how well Captain Stephen handled and maneuvered the boat. Husband was appreciative of Captain’s patience and guidance with relatively new anglers.

Even though they may not have brought home dinner, they are all looking forward to another outing with Captain Stephen!
