Make yourself at home in Pococí with a Tarpon Sport Fishing and Lodging experience.
The stunning scenery here includes deep offshore waters, including some spots that only a local can show you.
There’s no guarantee when you’re fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Tarpon, Almaco Jack, African Pompano Jack, Atlantic Mackerel, Red Snapper, and more if you cast your line at the right time of year. On these trips, it’s common to troll using heavy tackle. Capt. Daniel also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Your guide will show you the local waters aboard a custom 24’ fishing boat which boasts downriggers, a fighting chair, and other essentials. The charter will provide rods and reels. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it ahead of time so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You and anyone fishing with you may need to get a local fishing license ahead of time. You can usually find that information online, or reach out to the lodging and fishing coordinator here. Meals are not included in the price so be sure to learn more about your options ahead of time.
Lastly, don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions that will help you pack, like what’s available on-site and any essentials you should bring.

I have worked in a fishing lodge for many years, but now I feel it is time to do it for myself and to try as much as possible to give a more personalized treatment to the clientele so they can have a rich fishing experience.
