Hoping to catch some fish in West Palm Beach? That’s what Palm Beach Eco Tours is here for! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Rich knows them forwards and back.
You’ll likely fish for Bonito, Cobia, Black, Gag and Red Grouper, Grunt, Lane, Mangrove, Mutton, Yellowtail and Red Snapper, Triggerfish, and more, depending on the season. According to what you’re after, you may find yourself drifting and bottom fishing. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to take home; your captain will provide rods and reels.
Hop aboard the Thea Marie, a custom-designed 50’ vessel equipped with a toilet. Keep in mind that the boat can take 48 guests, but only 20 people can fish at one time. There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! The Thea Marie is fitted with a wheelchair ramp to make sure everyone is included. Palm Beach Eco Tours has improved boating access for people with special needs, especially youth and disabled veterans dependent on a wheelchair.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate, who’s there to help you fish and keep everyone safe on board. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10%–20% at the end of the day to show your appreciation. Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! And to ensure nobody gets hungry, you’re allowed to bring your own food and beverages.
