These waters are known for Black Drum, Flounder, Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, and more – with any luck, you’ll have tight lines in no time.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Fish caught during the trip are yours to take home, provided they’re legal to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that’s dinner!
Sunrise Guide Services is a kid-friendly charter service, so bring ‘em aboard and get the kids hooked while they’re young! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Your excursion begins aboard a 23’ Aquasport center console with a capacity for 5 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll catch it yourself.
Before coming aboard, it may be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s always wise to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Drinks are included, free of charge.

Fishing Fun
Captain Millsap was great! He took us to some good spots. We caught some reds, a black drum, trout and a few miscellaneous fish. I even caught a blue crab !!! The winds were a bit strong so we stayed in protected areas. We ended up keeping a few fish to take home. Captain Millsap was very informative. He taught us some new casting techniques. He helped my son learn were to cast and feel for the bites. When we came back to the dock, he cleaned and packed our fish on ice. I even got to feed the pelicans. We really enjoyed our trip. We will definitely book with Captain Millsap next time.

Great experience!
We had a wonderful time fishing with Captain Millsap! He was incredibly patient while teaching us how to fish—never condescending, just encouraging and informative. As beginners, we really appreciated how calm and clear he was in explaining everything. He showed up right on time and clearly knew his way around the bay, taking us to the best spots with confidence. The boat ride itself was smooth and steady, and we truly enjoyed cruising at a comfortable pace. We even got to see dolphins along the way, which made the experience even more special! The weather was beautiful, and Captain Millsap helped make it a relaxing and memorable day on the water. Highly recommend him!

Money well spent!
Cpt Millsap was incredible! He definitely knew his way around the water better than any other captain I’ve been with. He knew where the fish were going to be. He told us where to put the cast and every time we were catching a fish. We had a limit on trout under the first two hours caught multiple reds multiple black drum, a sheep’s head and a few small mangrove snapper. Over all 10/10 I’m genuinely satisfied with this trip. Was money well spent.

We are had a lovely morning fishing with Capt. Millsap! We caught black drum, sea trout, redfish, and mangrove snapper. Capt. Millsap regaled us with his many adventures of fishing. He truly loves sharing his favorite pastime with his clients. And he knows where the fish are!
