If you plan on fishing in Ogdensburg, look no further than J-Rod Charters.
Come and float down the mighty Saint Lawrence River on the hunt for Walleye, Large and Small Mouth Bass, Northern Pike, and the elusive Muskellunge!
During the trip, you might be spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
You’re welcome to bring home any fish you catch, assuming regulations allow it. If you wish to keep your catch, cleaning will be done at the dock
Cruise and troll around on a 2019 Tracker Proguide 175 Combo outfitted with a Minkotta Talon, Minkotta trolling motor, and Lowrance GPS Fishfinder.
You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it ahead of time so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself. Anyone can bring their own gear if they would like!
You will need to gather your fishing licenses prior to the trip, which can be done online on the NYS DEC website or at the local Ogdensburg Walmart just down the road.
Don’t forget to bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. There will be some drinks on offer, but be sure to let the captain know if you wish to bring your own.
Many state records have been set in this water. The next one to be broken is only a cast away!
