McClung’s Musky/ Walleye Adventures welcomes you to the stunning waters of Green Bay and Lake Winnebago. With Captain Joel at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Joel specializes in targeting trophy musky on Green Bay. On these trips, you can expect to cast or troll using medium to heavy tackle. Catch and release is mandatory. He also runs walleye trips during certain times of the year.
There will be some light snacks included on the boat. You'll need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
You'll find yourself aboard a 21' Ranger FS with space for 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Joel will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Some essentials you'll want to bring are a paper copy of your WI fishing license, sunscreen (non-spray), any snacks or refreshments you specifically want, and sunglasses.

I've had the pleasure to book a couple of trips every year since Joel started guiding. Each one is it's own adventure. Good weather, bad weather, cold and hot days, calm seas and rough water, they all add to the adventure. Hunting muskies is like being a fireman..... many hours of no activity and then comes the rush when a strike hits. If muskies were easy, there wouldn't be much of a challenge to fishing them. The conversation in between is what makes most fishing trips... I've always felt that the fish is the bonus. I'm fortunate to have an older brother (bumping into his mid 80s) that is heading past his prime for fishing muskies (and I'm not too far behind!) Joel has been nothing but attentive to making sure my brother and I are still able to experience fishing together and creating new stories to tell. Joel's boat and equipment are top notch. His knowledge of the River and Bay are thorough and his network of other guides keep him well informed on the happenings on the bay. You won't be disappointed booking a trip with him. Remember, the fish is the bonus to the experience. Biggest muskie so far is a 48"... still hunting that 50" for the wall!!!

My 20 year old son and I wanted to try Musky fishing without buying all the equipment. Captain Joel provided us with top notch rods, reels, and lures and made it easy to learn. We casted while drifting in a 15-20 mph wind and never once felt unsafe. We left a bit sore and tired from throwing the big lures but were successful! Joel put us on good structure and we caught 1 43 3/4” spotted Musky and had another bigger one follow to the boat. Thanks Captain Joel! We were not expecting to catch our first time and wanted to learn. The fish was a huge bonus! Would book again!

We went out with absolutely no knowledge of what were doing regarding out how to catch Walleye. By the end of the trip, we were running the rigs confidently. Captain Joel did a fantastic job teaching us what to do, what to look for, and placing us exactly where we needed to be to bring in the fish. The guide shared his wealth of knowledge and didn’t hold anything back - we would highly recommend him to anyone and plan to book future trips with him soon!
