If you're ready to love fishing in Galveston, look no further than UpScale Anglers. Captain Tyler and his team of experienced captains bring aboard years of local experience.
These waters are known for Redfish, Black Drum, Flounder, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, Blacktip Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Bull Shark, Hammerhead Shark, and more – with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time. On the day of your trip, you're likely to use light or heavy tackle.
Feel free to keep some of the fish you catch within the legal limit. Our captains will even clean your catch for you. How's that for fresh seafood?
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly! Cold bottled water is provided.
You'll be welcome aboard a 26' Center console with space for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials.
Rods, reels, tackle, and bait are provided.
Any adult who is fishing needs a Texas saltwater fishing license (with Red Drum and Speckled Trout tag if you want to keep any of those you catch) before the trip. These are available at most sporting goods stores. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials you'll want to bring are sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and drinks (no glass containers please). Ice cold bottled water is provided.

4 Hour Trip – Bay/Jetty (7AM)
Epic Fishing trip with Captain Colton
Upon arrival, boat was clean and ready to go. Cpt Colton introduced himself and loaded my party of 3 and departed promptly at 0700. By 0730 we had keeper trout on the boat. He kept us on fish the entire 4 hour trip. He was professional, communicated consistently, kept the hooks baited, and assisted as needed the entire trip. He kept a smile on our face the entire time. Extremely fun and memorable trip. Catching a ton of fish including bull reds, slot red, black drum, pompano, trout, and sheepshead was great, but Cpt Colton made our time fishing and catching quite the experience.

6 Hour Trip – Bay/Jetty (7AM)
Birthday Trip
Took 3 kids out for my son’s 12th birthday. They had a great time. Captain and crew were great, very helpful, and very quick to reload bait and assist with any line caught in the rocks. We did the 6 hr trip. Just like any fishing trip, there active times and slow times… it’s fishing! We caught about 10 fish and for the final hour and a half went after some redfish at a location by a shipwreck. Birthday boy was able to get one on the line and just as that fight started, dad had one on the line too. So a great father/son moment reeling in some awesome reds in parallel!

It was a great trip
We caught a bunch of sand trout to start off and use for bait. We then moved to the jettie where nothing was biting on shrimp with us or anyone the captain had talked to so we pivoted and went fishing for big fish and came back with a shark. We missed out on something huge, and a big red fish.

4 Hour Trip – Bay/Jetty (7AM)
Awesome experience
The trip was a 10 out of 10. We had two younger boys that had an experience of a lifetime. Our captain(Colton) kept us on fish most of the morning but it got a little tougher as we went into late morning. We caught fish and Colton took his time explaining things to the boys about fishing, cleaning fish, the history and background of fishing in the area. The fish that we caught, we took to a local restaurant and they did an amazing job cooking them up. I hope to do this again someday!

Birthday Fishing Trip
My son had an amazing time with his buddy, his uncle, and his grandpa on this surprise birthday fishing trip! Captain Doug was so much fun, and made sure the guys caught fish. He even took them for a shark hunt, and the kids each caught a blacktip! Highly recommend Upscale Anglers, and we will definitely go out again. Thank you for helping the boys make core memories!!
