Amberjack, Flounder, Cobia, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Gag Grouper, Pompano, Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Gray Triggerfish, Wahoo, Vermilion Snapper, and more can be found in these waters if you come at the right time of year.

For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Brandon also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. The fish caught are yours to take home, provided they’re within size and bag limits.

Trips with Black Belt Charters are fun for all ages, so bring ‘em aboard and get the kids hooked while they’re young! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

Capt. Brandon operates Mac Daddy, a 32’ Contender performance fishing vessel with a capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Tipping the Mate 10%–20% at the end of the day is customary to show your appreciation.

There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

Some essentials you’ll want to bring are sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Drinks will be available for you.
