Species like Great Barracuda, Crayfish, Black Grouper, Red Grouper, Almaco Jack, Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Mutton Snapper, and more are in the cards, depending on when you go. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
Capt. Ednie operates a 35' Ocean Master center console with a capacity for 10 passengers. It has all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Before coming aboard, you will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Please note we do accept payment through Zelle and Venmo.

Great trip catching fish!
First off if you want to catch fish, captain Ednie is the man to get it done. When booking the trip, we were unsure what the conditions would be like. Captain ednie contacted us the day before and offered to pick us up from resort. After a short boat ride the wind was a little strong in deeper water, we fished a few minutes there and decided to move closer In to the island. That's when the fun happened. Every cast out we would both hook up and bring fish in one after another. Didn't take long to fill up a bucket full of fish. I would highly recommend taking a trip out. You will have lots of fun and captain ednie is there to keep you safe and make sure you have fun!!

Caught a ton of fish
Captain Ednie worked hard all day to keep us on fish. And we caught a lot of fish. If you are looking for a newer boat with all the latest technology and high end equipment, chasing larger fish than no. If you're looking for someone who knows where to get on the numbers, that is going to put you on fish and try to keep your party getting bites, then Captain Edney is the choice. I booked this for a small group, a couple of which had never done this before. We may have caught close to 100 fish. We kept over 30 for a catch & cook for a large group of us and left about a dozen with Capt. Ednie to take home. Remember where you are and keep expectations in line and you should have a great time with Capt. Ednie. The group that went out with me said it was the highlight of the trip and everyone had a blast.

Great day!
We had a great time! They were great with our kids and we caught a ton of fish! They even took us to where we could have them cleaned and then dropped us off at a restaurant that would cook our fresh catch for us since we were on a cruise and had limited time!!

Fish On! Captain Ednie is the best!
We had a blast! Captain Ednie can put you on the fish. We had fish on within 5 mins of casting out every time. We filled the bucket with all types of fish. It was fun to see all the colorful fish. We ended the trip with a shark! What excitement it was!

We had a wonderful trip with Captain Ednie. He was great with communicating beforehand, met us on time, and took us straight to the fish. We moved to a few spots to keep the action going. All 6 anglers had a ton of fun. Captain Ednie kept us busy catching fish, offered great conversation, and made everything very enjoyable. I'd highly recommend booking with him.
