Texas Offshore Outfitters
Sargent has a fish with your name on it, so let Texas Offshore Outfitters help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Jacob knows them forwards and back.
Local species include Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Swordfish, Tilefish, King Mackerel, Scamp Grouper, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Bonito, Redfish, and more with any luck. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Trips with Texas Offshore Outfitters are open to the whole family, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
Your trip begins aboard a 36’ Contender center console with space for 6 passengers. It has outriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. You can’t go wrong when you bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
How often would you rather be fishing? Go on and turn that day dream into a reality, with Texas Offshore Outfitters.
