Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You’ll be casting lines from a 17’ Alumacraft aluminum fishing boat with room for 3 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don’t forget to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask.

Morning trip with Captain Chris
Half Day (4hr) AM trip on June 17, 2023
My son and I had a great time with Capt. Chris! We got a good mix of fish, covered a lot of water trolling in the morning. Capt was very knowledgeable and was great to talk to on our trip, I would recommend taking a charter with him. We look forward to getting back on the water our next time up to Minnetonka!
