Looking to catch some fish in Torreguadiaro? Make it happen, with Atún Rojo! Captain Daniel will be your guide, which means you’ll tap into years of local experience.
These waters are known for Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Common Pandora, Dentex, Mahi Mahi, Groupers, Blue Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, White Marlin, and more – with any luck, you’ll hook into a few!
During the trip, you might be spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks – luckily, Capt. Daniel will have some on board!
You’ll step aboard a 45’ Rodman motor yacht with space for 10 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience.
Capt. Daniel has rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks provided on board.
And that’s it! Your fishing trip with Atún Rojo is just a click away.
