On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Trips with Masterpiece Fishing Charters are open to the whole family, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!

Your boat for the day is a 36’ Downeast that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience.

Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures.

Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary.

There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

It’s always wise to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
