Make an adventure out of your next trip to Rochester and go fishing with Chasin Silver Sportfishing. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Derek is prepared to put you on fish.
Local species include Chinook Salmon, Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Coho Salmon, and more with any luck. For these species, you’re likely to troll.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 27’ Baha Cruiser with room for 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. Don’t forget to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Amazing Trip!!!
Captain Derek is a great captain to have for a fishing trip. It was our first time fishing on Lake Ontario and boy, Captain Derek nor the lake disappointed us. His boat is spacious and equipment used top of the line. We caught salmon and lake trout that were easily over 11 lbs. Had a blast of a good time with great tunes and conversation with Captain Derek. I would highly recommend Chasin” Silver Charter for your next fishing adventure!!

Happy 60 th birthday
Booked for my husband’s birthday— 85 and sunny weather. There were 4 of us total. Nice boat with tons of gear—clean with bathroom and covered area to get out of the sun. Captain was great— professional, no foul language, friendly— especially when the last fish hit late in the trip and we were 40 minutes past our time!

Best time ever
First charter I have ever been on, there were 6 of us, 3 adults and 3 kids and we filled the cooler with salmon and lake trout that were all huge biggest of the day was 22lbs, everyone had a blast already planning the next booking with chasing silver, captin Derek was awsome, patient and very knowledgeable, I recommend him 100%

Half Day Trip w/Chasin Silvers
We had a great trip with Derek. This was a boys fishing trip with myself, 2 sons and grandson. Captain was very professional, ready to go when we arrived at the dock, he worked hard changing presentations and locations to put us on fish. Total catch was 15, we released 8. Boat was very comfortable for our party and all equipment was new, no equipment issues. We would charter with him again in the future.

Great Trip
Went after salmon in the morning but they were not biting. Headed a bit back into shore and caught a mess of large lake trout. Captain and mate were very experienced and put in a lot of effort to make sure we caught some nice fish.
