If you’re ready to try fishing in Pompano Beach, we’ve got you covered with Hook Me Up LLC. With Captain George at the helm, you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
Sailfish, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Cobia, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Amberjack, Yellowfin Tuna, Great Barracuda, Snook, Tarpon, Swordfish, and more can be found in these waters, depending on when you go.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. George can also help you try kite fishing.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Your boat for the day is a 35’ Center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It’s always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
