Depending on the season, you might hook into Cobia , Black Seabass, Flounder, Amberjack, Spadefish, Speckled Trout, Great Barracuda, and whatever else is biting. You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Trips with Desperado Fishing Charters are great for kids, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that’s dinner!

Your adventure begins aboard a 24’ Key West Center console with room for 6 passengers. Your captain will provide rods and reels. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation. The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

You can’t go wrong when you bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation. Just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
