Booked with us before? You may qualify for a Loyalty Discount. Sign in to check.
Ripple Effect Guide Service invites you to experience the stunning waters of the Muskegon River. With Captain Quinn at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Brown Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, and more are in the cards if you come at the right time of year. For these species, you're likely to spin using light tackle. Capt. Quinn also offers fly fishing.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Your adventure begins aboard a 20' Alumaweld jet boat with space for 3 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Quinn will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures.
Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Ripple Effect Guide Service!

Captain Quinn was great and put us on the fish! We caught multiple steelhead and brown trout. It was a great day out!
Capt. Quinn was very knowledgeable about the Manistee River and where and how to fish it for steelhead. He was willing to share his knowledge and experiences which made for a comfortable and enjoyable fishing trip. He will do catch and release or allow the guest keep his fish.
Quinn is an excellent guide! He knows the rivers, the habits of the fish and how they react to changing conditions. He knows the techniques needed for success and explained them well. We nailed em today!!!
Quinn K. awesome guy and made extra efforts to find what river the fish were coming in on. Would use him again without hesitation!

Capt. Quinn grew up in Northern Michigan fishing his entire life. He quickly found a passion for chasing migratory and non-migratory fish throughout Lake Michigan and its' numerous tributaries. Capt. Quinn worked on Lake Michigan charter boats from the age of 15 to 21 and bought his first river boat at age 16. Over the past decade Capt. Quinn has developed a particular skill set for chasing salmon, steelhead, trout and smallmouth throughout Lake Michigan's tributaries. After receiving his degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University he decided this was a skill set that he wanted to share and opened up Ripple Effect Guide Service for business.
