If fishing in San Francisco Bay Area is on your bucket list, look no further than Valley Bay Sportfishing. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Andrew can tell you all about them.
Depending on the season and or trip, you might hook into Halibut, Lingcod, Rockfish, Crab, King Salmon, Albacore Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, and anything else that bites. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll or drift and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Fish caught during the trip are yours to take home, so long as they’re within the legal limit. The crew can even clean your catch for you. Have a cooler ready in the car!
Your day begins aboard a beautiful 29’ Custom Raider aluminum boat with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has plenty of deck, cabin space, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Andrew will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available depending on what we are chasing!
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation. You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Valley Bay Sportfishing is a child-friendly charter service, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. A few items to bring include snacks, drinks, sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.
Now, come aboard with Valley Bay Sportfishing and get hooked!
