On this trip, we allow your group or family (up to 6 people) to choose how you would like to spend your 2, 4, or 6 hours on the water. You can choose from our list of services below.
Here at Lizardfish Charters and Island Adventures, we tailor our services around your group or family's needs. Here is a list of the services we offer:
-Fishing Charter (bottom fishing, Inshore fishing, or nearshore fishing).
-Island Excursions (fishing, cast netting, shelling, finding shark's teeth, picnicking, bird watching, swimming, snorkeling, or relaxing on an Island).
-For any services not listed, we are open to accommodate all of our customer's needs. Please message us to inquire about any special requests.
We allow you to choose when you would like to leave and return to the docks. After booking, please get in touch with us so that you can choose/adjust the times that work best to fit your group. Children and Pets are welcome aboard!
All fishing gear/tackle will be provided, as well as bottled water. Please feel free to bring your own fishing gear and any other provisions you would like aboard our boat. Our boat is a 202 Pioneer Sportfish with plenty of cushioned seating. Our boat can carry up to 8 passengers and is equipped with all safety equipment required by the USCG, 2 coolers, a live well, an emergency toilet, and boasts a pretty awesome sound system!
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary. There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing!

4 Hour Nearshore/Offshore Trip on July 2, 2025 • 5 adultsSpending the day on the local inshore channels, rivers and sounds of the Crystal Coast was a perfect way to elevate our Emerald Isle family vacation! Despite high waves that kept us from venturing deep sea offshore, Captain Rick and First Mate RJ did a perfect job with making my family feel right at home on their well-equipped boat while navigating the beautiful waters of the area. Fishing from several different spots, we pulled in a variety of great fish including sea bass, croakers, hogfish, blue fish, lizardfish, puffer fish and even a large flounder! We capped off the day with bonus time hunting shark teeth on one of the inshore islands. Captain Rick and RJ were super friendly while working very hard to make sure our group had a fantastic time! Highly recommend Lizardfish Charters Offshore!

6 Hour Nearshore/Offshore Trip on June 26, 2024 • 6 adultsWater was much rougher then Forcast. Fishing was extremely slow. Captain Rick tried everything to get us fish including staying out longer then charter was booked for. We didn't get skunked but was vert slow. Rick was extremely apologitc about lack of fish. But that aside my family still had a great time and made memories. Captain Rick offered to take us out next time we make it down here at a discount to make up for bad fishing. Definitely has great customer service skills and knowledge of the area.

4 Hour Nearshore/Offshore Trip on May 20, 2024 • 5 adults • 1 childCapt Rick and Capt Kristen are so great and so nice! They have an amazing amount of knowledge of the area and what was biting. We did some inshore/sound fishing and mainly caught undersized fish, but still had an absolute blast! They made it super easy and fun! They helped my 5-year old son hook and catch several fish. Would highly recommend for family trip or just normal trips! We will most definitely book again if we visit Emerald Isle or the surrounding area for sure!

They did a great job of moving us around until we started getting into fish and were so patient with our kids. We caught a ton of black sea bass and even a couple of Dogfish Sharks to cap off the day! 🎣 We then got to spend a hour or so shelling at Shakleford. Our kids said it was the best day of our vacation, so far! 🙌

We started off with trying to bottom fish but the water was a little too much and one of our members ended up sea sick so we moved on and went to Aruba Island and looked for clams and seashells. It took a little longer than expected to get back from bottom fishing so they gave us some extra time. After that we went to shark tooth island and found many shark teeth. And lastly we went a did a little fishing near the bridge. We met so many creatures that we had never seen before and caught a few fish along the way we really enjoyed the experience and would definitely do it again!

We didn't get to go offshore as was booked and paid for which was disappointing. We were really looking forward to getting on some bigger fish as we only got to bring home 1. The crew did keep moving us. They were helpful, attentive and very knowledgeable. They also took us over to Shark Tooth Island which was fun and we saw dolphins.
We are so sorry the waves were a little to big for us to go offshore that day. We hope everyone had a good time on the charter even though we had to stay inshore. Rick and his first mate son RJ were an incredible duo! They took us out for a 4-hour fishing tour offshore and were ready to go with all the gear and bait without an issue. After some luck, we headed back to do some inshore fishing as one of our party was getting a little seasick. Rick was great and understanding and took care of us incredibly well. Along the intercostal, we stopped and fished at the swansboro bridge and a few spots along the waterway. The two of them assisted us as we hooked a ton of croakers and sea bass and we had a great time. Wonderful captain and first mate with a good energy!

I want to thank Capt. Rick and Capt. Kristen for showing my daughter and her husband a great time yesterday! The weather was perfect and Capt. Rick and Capt.
