Hampton Bays has a fish with your name on it, so let Fin Alley help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Don can tell you all about them.
Top targets include Striped Bass, Albacore Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), White Marlin, Swordfish, Bluefin Tuna, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Thresher Shark, Blue Marlin, Mako Shark, and more with any luck. For these species, you’re likely to troll.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You’ll be dropping lines from a 43’ Tiara offshore sport fishing boat with space for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 20% tip.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It’s always wise to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
