Don't Panic Sportfishing of Pompano Beach, FL is your go to offshore sportfishing charter company. If you're ready to try fishing in the active waters of South Florida, off of Pompano Beach, we've got you covered aboard Don't Panic.. With Captain Ron at the helm and 1st Mate Damian, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience. Children are welcome, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! . And you can't go wrong with bringing snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

Your trip begins aboard a 47' Offshore sport fisher that is fully equipped with all top of the line tackle and tournament quality gear and everything you need for a productive day on the water. You'll find tournament rated rods, reels, and tackle, along with lures, waiting for you. Alcohol is welcome to drink in moderation, but it must be in cans, there is no glass bottles allowed on the boat.

Local species include Wahoo, Great Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel, Blackfin and Skipjack Tuna, Bonita, Sailfish, Bull, Hammerhead and Tiger Sharks, Cobia, Amberjack, the occasional Marlin, Swordfish, and more if you cast your line at the right time of year. We are agents for Grays Taxidermy and can offer you discounts to have your trophy catch mounted and memories of a lifetime.
A First Mate will be on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and offering them a 15–20% tip is customary.

The charter boat covers your fishing license for the day, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask Captain Ron.

My friend, her14 year old grandson and I had a fabulous time! When we first arrived we met Captain Lucas and his first mate Ynack. They asked us our names and where we came from. After that, we seemed liked old friends. Captain Lucas and Ynack made sure we had a great time. We caught one Mahi and 2 wahoo. When we caught the fish, Lucas and Ynack were just excited about catching the fish as we were. They high fived my friend’s 14 year old grandson and congratulated him. I never saw that boy smile so much. We were a few minutes late due to traffic. I wasn’t expected to go past our designated time but Captain Lucas told us it was his last trip of the day and he would extend our trip for 15 minutes. Since we stayed that extra time we caught both wahoo at that time. This was a lifetime experience for the 3 of us. We are already discussing when can we book another trip with Don’t Panic.

GREAT EXPERIENCE

5 Hour Sport Fishing (PM) on February 22, 2025 • 3 adults

Took a 5 hour charter with Capt Ron and had a great time. Capt Ron knows how to find fish. He's an eagle-eye when something hits the line and he reacts quickly to ensure you land what you hooked. Whether that be maneuvering the boat to keep from entangling other fishing lines, powering up or down to not lose what's hooked or take the fun out of the catch/fight by wearing out the fisherman reeling it in. Best of all, Capt Ron is a gentleman and all around good man. He's extremely knowledgeable about the industry and he's a great conversationalist. We caught several very nice Dolphin/Mahi and Blackfin Tuna. Capt Ron and the "Don't Panic" craft will be my first go-to the next time I charter out. Nick Miller

I want to first give a big thank you to the crew: Captain Ron and Lucas for taking us on a fishing trip with my buddies and I. They were funny and always were on the look out. We went out on a rough sea day, but that didn’t matter because we had a lot of action, we were safe all thanks to the crew, and we even caught a sailfish! These guys have a lot of experience and will try their best in every scenario given so that you can have fun and create memories. All of their equipment is in top condition and is perfect to fish with.Thank you so much for the great time on the water.

Amazing and everything I had hoped for

5/5 would recommend to everyone, Capt Ron is extremely well knowledgeable. From the minute my dad and I got on board we felt extremely welcome. With this being our first off shore sportfishing trip we couldn’t have had a better experience. We will be back time and time again Don’t Panic Sportfishing in my option is everything I wanted it to be. Thank you again capt Ron the memories my dad and I were able to make are something worth sharing with everyone I will be telling everyone about this trip for years to come.
