Kids Surf Fishing Outfitters specializes in taking kids ages 4–17 fishing along the waters of Freeport and Surfside Beach. We invite you to join us for a fun, memorable experience the kids will never forget, perfect for making lifelong memories right on the beach!
We teach kids the basics and fundamentals of local surf and jetty fishing, giving them hands-on experience in a safe and encouraging environment. Around here it's common to go light-tackle fishing, and that's exactly what you'll do. You may also bottom fish, spin, or cast a popping cork to land your catch. All rods, reels, lures, and live bait are provided.
Depending on conditions and season, you might hook into Redfish, Trout, Black Drum, Pompano, Jack Crevalle, Snook, Ladyfish, Rays, Alligator Gar, Blue Shark, Blacktip Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Catfish, Garfish, Freshwater Drum, and who knows what else!
This is an excellent option for kids who get seasick and for parents who'd like to relax on the beach while the kids enjoy fishing for a few hours. You'll reach the fishing spots on foot, so dress for the weather and bring only what you can comfortably carry. Any legal fish caught are yours to keep, and Josh can clean your catch so it's ready for the cooler—just have one waiting in the car.
Your fishing license is not included, so be sure to check local requirements for your group. We recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, bottled water, and layered clothing. Feel free to pack snacks and anything extra the kids may need. If you need child-sized life vests, just ask, otherwise, remember to bring your own.
This is a fully kid-friendly experience with room for groups of up to 12 No boat is included, just great fishing from the beach with beautiful scenery and local expertise.

12 Hour Trip on April 30, 2023My family had an amazing trip. The guid was knowledgeable and very professional at all times. Not to mention I am a disabled veteran who has issues with my right arm so it is very difficult for me to land big fish. Well not on this trip. I landed the fish of a life time ( for me) lol. I can't thank Josh enough and can't wait to get back out on the surf again. I learned so much and gained experience that you can only learn by doing, and we did.

2 Day Trip (Camper Stay) on April 22, 2023We had a great time and caught a few fish including a shark. Luckily the weather was nice most of the time we were there but it did rain one day which was okay because we just relaxed in the camper and had some good family time cooking. We'll be booking again in August before the kids go back to school. Thanks for the great experience and professionalism!

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 50% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
