Kids Surf Fishing Outfitters specializes in taking kids ages 4–17 fishing along the waters of Freeport and Surfside Beach. We invite you to join us for a fun, memorable experience the kids will never forget, perfect for making lifelong memories right on the beach!

We teach kids the basics and fundamentals of local surf and jetty fishing, giving them hands-on experience in a safe and encouraging environment. Around here it’s common to go light-tackle fishing, and that’s exactly what you’ll do. You may also bottom fish, spin, or cast a popping cork to land your catch. All rods, reels, lures, and live bait are provided.

Depending on conditions and season, you might hook into Redfish, Trout, Black Drum, Pompano, Jack Crevalle, Snook, Ladyfish, Rays, Alligator Gar, Blue Shark, Blacktip Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Catfish, Garfish, Freshwater Drum, and who knows what else!

This is an excellent option for kids who get seasick and for parents who’d like to relax on the beach while the kids enjoy fishing for a few hours. You’ll reach the fishing spots on foot, so dress for the weather and bring only what you can comfortably carry. Any legal fish caught are yours to keep, and Josh can clean your catch so it’s ready for the cooler—just have one waiting in the car.

Your fishing license is not included, so be sure to check local requirements for your group. We recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, bottled water, and layered clothing. Feel free to pack snacks and anything extra the kids may need. If you need child-sized life vests, just ask, otherwise, remember to bring your own.

This is a fully kid-friendly experience with room for groups of up to 10. No boat is included, just great fishing from the beach with beautiful scenery and local expertise.
