Blue Ice Alaska Charters – Salty Loot
Blue Ice Alaska Charters welcomes you to the stunning waters of Seward. With Captain Michael at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
Halibut, Black Rockfish, Rockfish, Lingcod, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, and more are in the cards, depending on the time of year.
You can expect to do some fishing with heavy tackle, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You'll step aboard a 34' Armstrong Luxury catamaran that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has downriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Capt. Michael will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Before coming aboard, you may be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't leave home without a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

What an amazing deep sea fishing trip! The captain and crew were outstanding—friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire day. They worked hard to make sure everyone had a chance to catch fish and have a great experience. The boat was clean and comfortable, and the scenery out on the water was absolutely beautiful. We caught plenty of fish, had a lot of laughs, and created memories that will last a lifetime. Whether you're an experienced fisherman or a first-timer, I highly recommend this charter. I can't wait to book another trip!
Captain Joe got us right on the fish. He was so knowledgeable and it was great to watch him and his crew work as a team. He was training a deckhand to become a captain, and he was great to watch as a teacher. They gave us a great fishing experience, a family with two young kids and a baby! We will be back again and we hope to have Captain Joe!
Thanks Joe and Karson for an awesome fishing day! We caught our halibut limit including one worthy of the Butt Chug. We appreciated your patience with our 10 year old and also all the knowledge you shared about fish and the area which enriched our experience. Our favorite fishing experience yet!!

We had a very good day despite the weather not cooperating. Capt Joe was awesome and G our mate did a great job throughout the day. My group would definitely book the Salty Loot if the opportunity ever arises.
Fishing was slow but that’s how fishing goes. Captain Mike and deckhand Carson worked their guts out for us. Thanks for a great day
