Around here, fishing is popular for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and more with any luck.

On these trips, you can expect to hunt for fish in shallow waters and take your shot at them with a fly rod! Fly rod outfits are provided by the charter. However, if you have your own, don’t hesitate to bring it aboard! Light tackle spinning and bait casting rods are provided as well if that is your preferred method of fishing.

Capt. James is happy to have kids aboard, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

You'll step aboard an 18' flats skiff that can carry up to 2 passengers.

Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know the local regulations.

You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
