If you’re ready to get hooked on fishing in Chincoteague, we’ve got you covered with Huntress Charters.
Depending on the time of year and trip you book, you might hook into Flounder, Whiting, Black Seabass, Yellowfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Tilefish,
Mahi Mahi, Swordfish, Blue Marlin, White Marlin, and who knows what else! You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Rods, reels, and tackle are provided. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
It’s recommended to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

4 Hour Trip – Wreck Fishing (PM)
Perfect trip for my family
First time fishing in the ocean for my two granddaughters. Captain Justin was awesome and patient with them, very helpful. We fished over the wrecks, had 11 flounder keepers and released twice that that were smaller. Overall experience was great and we look forward to fish with The Huntress next year. Awesome job Justin.

4 Hour Trip – Back Bays (AM)
Easy trip for those who may not have sea legs
We visited several locations to catch a variety of fish. We caught close to 100 fish in four hours. Fun, easy, relaxing. Looking forward to another trip in the future.

Just what we asked for.
We went into this trip asking Justin to teach us about how to fish this area. He did just that. From explaining the ideal locations to reading the depth finder and catching fish we got just what we asked for. Good trip. Justin was clearly experienced and willing to share his knowledge. Fun half day fishing trip with captain John. He had lots of **hidden content**, fishing knowledge, brought us to different areas to fish and even brought us out towards the lighthouse on chincoteague. Will definitely use his services again.
