My husband, myself, and our 10 year old grandson went on a half-day (6:30am-10:30am) fishing charter with Captain Wayne. It was everyone’s first fishing charter and it was an excellent experience.
Wayne was available and prompt to answer questions prior to our trip. He provided very useful tips. He was punctual and enthusiastic on the morning of the charter. The boat is safe and comfortable.  Wayne worked diligently to help us have success (and we did). Afterwards, Wayne cleaned our catch before we left.
The rest of this review is in the words of our grandson… Wayne was a very good captain. He really knew what to do and he explained everything well to me so I knew what to do. When I was reeling the fish in he always encouraged me. He answered all our questions and we learned a lot about salmon and trolling fishing. Wayne and his crew were really nice. We caught a lot of fish. Oh yeah, we caught crabs too. It was really fun! I would do it again.

Excellent experience with Full Melt Charters!!
It was our family’s first time fishing in the ocean and Captain Chris was extremely knowledgeable, and interesting and fun to chat with for 4 hours on a 23’ boat.  Speaking of, the boat was clean and comfortable, roomy enough for 6 adults and had a private toilet on board (important to my wife and daughters). All the gear was provided, including bait/lures, and was in good condition. Captain Chris did all of the prep work, leaving us to have all of the fun.  We were fortunate enough to have perfect weather, but unfortunate in that we weren’t able to keep any of the wild coho salmon we caught.  Nonetheless, it was a great experience and the next time we’re in the area we will definitely book again with Full Melt.  A true 5 star experience!!

Captain Wayne created an awesome salmon fishing experience for us. We were an intergenerational family with a wide age range and ability levels. We had no prior knowledge of salmon fishing but captain Wayne worked non stop to set and adjust the rods so we each had opportunities to participate as we chose. He guided us ‘to victory’ as we enjoyed the fun of reeling in salmon after salmon! The boat ride to and from our beautiful fishing area was exciting and memorable. He is a very safe driver. 

Thank you also Wayne for cleaning our fish for us.  Wayne was so friendly and responsive from the beginning of the booking . And we learned so much on the adventure when he answered all our questions with good humour.

I have no hesitation to recommend Captain Wayne and Full Melt Charters!!! Thank you again Wayne!

We had an early-morning charter with full melt charters. Our captain was CHRIS. He was an outstanding fisherman, guide, and somebody that really knew his business. He is a very talented, knowledgeable, fisherman, and we smashed snagging 18 pound chinook. It was an outstanding experience for us. Highly recommended make the decision and go with these guys.

My wife and I were pressed with time on our recent trip to Sooke but were excited to find out Wayne offered a 2 hour sunset trolling trip which lined up perfectly. While the trip would have been great event if fish weren’t caught as the views were incredible, we ended up getting into some salmon and was action packed for such a short trip. Captain and crew cleaned and packed the fish as well which was appreciated and were great company on the boat. Would absolutely go with them again!
