Eastern Ambitions is a saltwater guide service that charters out of the Northeast Atlantic, specifically the Merrimack River and all adjacent ocean areas.
Striped Bass, Bluefish, Cod, Atlantic Mackerel, Haddock, and more, could be biting depending on the time of the year. Fish caught during the trip are yours to take home, so long as they're within the legal limit. The crew can even clean your catch for you. Have a cooler ready in the car!
Eastern Ambitions is dedicated to providing clients with a personal and memorable fishing experience. The boats are judgment-free zones. We accept all groups of people and accommodate persons with limitations or disabilities.
You'll be fishing aboard a 22' Sea Hunt with a capacity for 5 guests. Rods, reels, and tackle will be waiting for you on board. The boat is equipped with a toilet. Children are welcome, so feel free to make it a family adventure. The captain will provide snacks and drinks, but feel free to bring your own.
Your captain will not only take you out on a fishing trip, but they also enjoy explaining the various histories of the local area to all guests. The captain also focuses heavily on enlightening clients about the issues that exist within the local fishery, as well as the various fishing methods utilized and the reasons for specific regulations regarding fish species.

My family of four, including my 10 and 8-year-old daughters, had an absolutely fantastic time on our private fishing charter with Captain Pat. From the moment we stepped on board, he was incredibly welcoming and friendly. He’s not only a highly knowledgeable and skilled fisherman, but he was also amazing with the girls. He patiently taught them how to cast, let them handle the fish, and made the whole experience so much fun and engaging for them. We caught some great fish, and Captain Pat made sure every member of the family felt included and successful. Captain Pat also provided recommendations for cooking the fish we caught, again a huge success! We couldn’t recommend him highly enough and are already looking forward to our next trip!

The crew were there prepared and waiting for us, we set off early and they took the time to understand not only our experience but what we wanted to get out of the trip before we even left the bay. They tailored the entire trip accordingly and worked very well together as a team to make it an awesome trip . My sons first experience oven fishing and he said it was best day fishing he ever had and he has years of experience catch large mouth bass. The guys are experts in their field using both their knowledge of the area and trends to get us fishing early and constant. Anyone want to go fishing in Newburyport area, you won’t find a better crew to bring you out.

Took my son and on a striper run and we both had a great time. Pat the Capt was awesome and super responsive leading up to the date. Very accommodating when bad weather was projected and adjusted his schedule to meet an agreeable alternative date on short notice. We were very grateful to get out on a decent day. The CPT was knowledgeable about the area and different species, and kept us informed throughout the day about what we were doing and why. It was an all around great experience and we will definitely be booking again with their company. Would strongly recommend to anyone looking for a good time out on the water pulling in some good sized fishes! Thanks!

- Toilet The head is a typical portable toilet found in the center console of our boat. This option is always available (for both ones and two) to those clients who prefer not to use the 'world's biggest bathroom.'

- Live bait (Live bait is dependent on the trip that is booked. Certain trips do not require live bait and not having to acquire live bait saves time. However, most of our trips do utilize fresh, live bait, which we catch ourselves during the beginning of the trip.)

- Catch cleaning & filleting (We do not charge for cleaning ever. We do not charge for cleaning of fish either, though this may be an opportunity for you to reflect your appreciation towards the mate, as they will be maintaining the boat and cleaning all fish for clients.)
- Snacks (Eastern ambition generally keeps water and some basic snacks on board. Most clients choose to bring a small cooler with their own personal snacks and drinks. Eastern ambitions also has cooler space available on board.)
- Drinks (BYOB. Clients are allowed to bring/drink adult beverages on board, though we do encourage moderation. A good general rule is 'one beer on land equals three on the water.' Eastern ambitions keeps water bottles and sometimes Gatorade on board. )

- Fishing license (Clients are covered for all fishing licenses while on board by the captains license and the boat's charter permit license. We deal with the fancy red tape ahead of time so you don't have to!)

- River fishing (Generally, all Eastern Ambitions trips are ocean driven, with ocean fish species. However, early season bait runs will occasionally push fish (and good fishing) into the Merrimack River (which would be more brackish than fresh where we would fish it))

- Offshore fishing (This is also dependent on the trip that is booked. Ground fishing and shark trips tend to require a further distance to be traveled. Most Striper, or jigging trips can be facilitated in river, or within 1 mile of the shore.)

How cancellations work
You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

How you can pay
When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 10% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
