Bottomed Out Fishing Charters
Excited to cast a line in Gulf Shores? Make it happen with Bottomed Out Fishing Charters LLC! A veteran-owned and operated business with over 10 years of experience. With Captain Ken at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
These waters are known for Mahi Mahi, Cobia, Amberjack, Grouper, Kingfish, Red Snapper, Swordfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, and more – with any luck, you'll hook into a few! During the trip, you might be light tackle fishing, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Fish caught during the trip are yours to take home, so long as they're within the legal limit. The crew can even clean your catch for you. Have a cooler ready in the car!
Your vessel for the day is a 30' Center console with room for 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips, and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip. Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Children are welcome, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Don't forget to bring snacks, drinks, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with Bottomed Out Fishing Charters.

If you’re looking for a fishing charter that actually delivers results, Bottomed Out Charters with Captain Ken is the one to book. While other boats were coming back empty-handed, Captain Ken consistently put us on fish—it was clear he knew exactly what he was doing. What really stood out, beyond the great catch, was Captain Ken himself. He’s an incredibly nice, down-to-earth guy who makes the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. His extensive knowledge of fishing is obvious in the way he reads the water, adjusts tactics, and helps everyone on board feel confident and involved. Whether you’re experienced or brand new to fishing, you’ll appreciate his patience and expertise. It’s not just about catching fish—it’s about having a great time doing it, and Captain Ken absolutely delivers on both. Highly recommend Bottomed Out Charters if you want a successful and enjoyable day on the water.

Greg thankyou for fishing with us. I really appreciate your buisness and hope to have yal on board again.

We had an absolutely amazing experience on our fishing charter out of Gulf Shores! From the moment we left the dock, you could tell our captain really knew his stuff—super knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole trip feel effortless and fun. He put us right on the fish, and we were catching in no time! Whether you’re experienced or brand new, he makes sure everyone is comfortable, confident, and having a great time. The boat was clean, well-equipped, and everything was handled professionally. What really stood out was how much the captain genuinely cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. It never felt rushed, and he was patient, helpful, and full of great tips. Hands down one of the best experiences we’ve had in Gulf Shores—we’ll 100% be booking again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, successful day on the water! 🎣

Thankyou for the kind reviews. Really enjoyed having yal aboard.
Our family's first offshore fishing trip. The weather forecast kept changing before our trip and Capt Ken communicated with us very well about the situation. We went out as scheduled and had a great 6hr trip. At the first stop we started catching red snapper right away. we caught our limit in a few stops and in time. Boat was 30 ft , fast and stable. Capt was attentive and very helpful to all of us.
Storms and rough seas postponed out trip to the next day. Ken met us next day and was very open about still being rough and provided options if we wanted but we continued. Ken and Jay were exceptionally attentive to our needs and dedicated to get us on fish which they did! Will definitely be back to fish with them again!
We had a fantastic time with Captain Ken and Captain Jay! We had fish hitting the second we put hooks in the water. They took us out to a great spot and they showed a bunch of first-timers how to catch fish. i highly recommend these guys. He reached out to us and kept contact with us in the days leading up to our trip. They made it easy and fun. We can't thank them enough for a great trip.

Thankyou for the great review. We enjoyed having yal aboard.
Hey there! I'm a disabled US Army veteran with over 10 years of experience fishing the Gulf. You know what brings me true joy? Seeing people reel in those fish and sharing my knowledge about the stunning waters of the Gulf of Mexico. When I see those happy, smiling faces, it makes everything worth it. I take immense pleasure in teaching others about the wonders of these waters and helping them have a fantastic time. It's a true delight for me to witness the excitement of someone catching a fish and creating special memories. That's what it's all about!
