These waters are known for Crappie, Largemouth Bass, White Bass, and more – with any luck, you’ll have tight lines in no time. You’ll target your catch by spinning, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Kids are welcome, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
Your vessel for the day is a 21’ Phoenix Bass boat that holds up to 2 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. A few items to bring include a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

4 Hour Trip – Bass (AM)
Fantastic Day On The Lake
We caught a 6 LB Bass on the first cast (at one of his favorite spots on the lake that he’s been fishing for years) and we caught nearly a dozen fish total on the morning despite slightly windy conditions. Scott generously showed me how to use custom worms in the shallow depth high grasses, top water ploppers, crawdads that skim the grass, and chatterbaits that got largemouth bites right away. He answered all of my many fishing questions happily and I’m a better fisherman now because of him. His bass boat is crazy fast and has top-notch electronics for great visuals of the underlying topography and action. The diverse conversations were a blast and he knows the lake better than anyone having spent his entire life on those waters. We started at 6 AM and he had his boat already in the water ready to roll with a dozen rods and lures rigged up for me. By 10 AM, I felt like I had already gotten a full day’s worth of action in four different excellent curated locations on the lake. Don’t hesitate to book Scott if you want a great day on the lake. Best decision I’ve made on the water in 2025.

Great Fishing Day!
Captain Scott gave us a great morning fishing! My husband and I rarely fish but want to - so we were given instructions how to use the reel and rod to get best results; which led to us catching Bass! His boat and equipment were more than adequate and Fun was had by all! Thanks Captain Scott!
