My family and i booked a 4 hour fishing trip with Martin with Silverback Reel Hooker. My family and i had a blast with Martin fishing and just telling stories. We caught about 9 Reds and a few Blue cats. I will definately book my next trip to Calaveras with Martin. I would definately recommend Martin if your headed to Calaveras lake.

We went out again today with Captain Martin, we didn’t catch a ton of fish but this captain will work his backside off to make sure that you not only get fish, but have a great time! We have gone out with Martin in the past and I can tell you that this man cares whether you catch, and will do anything in his power to make sure that you have an amazing day on the lake. He has always gone above and beyond. We even requested to fish a specific way and he accommodated graciously. Although we only caught three fish today, we know that he can’t control whether or not the fish are biting, but we will book with him time and again because he’s so wonderful.

Best fishing trip I’ve had. We were catching fish beginning to end. The only reason we stopped was because we already had plenty for a fish fry. This captain is amazing with little ones too. He had my kiddos grabbing rods and pulling in HUGE fish! And, there were other boats around us not having the same experience and he had no problem sharing what was doing to pull em in. Book this guy!
