Make the most of your time in Ocean City and go fishing with Covered Up Sportfishing. Your guide for the day is Captain Keath, giving you access to years of professional experience.
Depending on the conditions, you might hook into Yellowfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Mahi Mahi, White Marlin, Blue Marlin, Tilefish, Black Seabass, and anything else that bites. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep.
You’ll be welcome aboard a 38’ Henriques offshore sport fishing boat with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Keath has rods and reels for you, as well as lures.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work. The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself. Don’t leave home without snacks, sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then, the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen with Covered Up Sportfishing!

12 hour offshore
This was our first time fishing in Ocean City, we have always previously fished down in the Gulf of Mexico. I spent a few weeks doing due diligence on the local captains and contacted all of the local marinas and the consensus recommendation was to go with Captain Keith and his first mate Kevin. I can honestly state that this was the best charter I have ever encountered. When Kevin contacted me to establish a plan, I informed him that I would be bringing my 15 year old daughter and 13 year old son and our objective would to be to target Mahi Mahi, Black Sea Bass, & Tile Fish and anything else would be bonus. As you can see by the pictures, we accomplished our objective.There was not one moment that we were having to wait for any action! Captain Keith knew exactly where and when to move to another location. I couldn’t possibly express how appreciative how both Keith & Kevin taught my kids the appropriate techniques when battling the different species of fish. My kids experienced the adventure of their life and can’t wait to go back out with Captain Kevin! With our objective accomplished, we still had an hour remaining and the Captain suggested we troll for Marlin. During that time, we encountered 3 Marlin (2 white and 1 blue) but were not able to land them. Everyone on the boat was so excited at the prospect of landing a Marlin that Kevin fished for an additional hour above the cost of the charter. On the way back, we were all exhausted and fell asleep inside his incredibly spacious, comfortable, air conditioned boat. We can’t wait to book our next trip with Captain Kevin and target Marlin & Tuna. If you ever happen to read this Kevin, thank you for providing memories that will last a lifetime!
