My son in law and I was taken in a stable 25’ boat to a tremendous inshore spot where we caught multiple fish. Using Pilcher minnow we hammered the Snook, catching over a dozen large Snook. The spotty sea trout also were hitting there so we took home our limit of Sea Trout. He was very helpful , casting , baiting and netting our fish. But he was wise to let us cast and bring in our catch with guidance. Both of us are seasoned fishermen so we had a good time conversing and catching fish with Captain Kuhn. He provided good rod & reels whichoplllaa

Captian Nick is knowledgeable and patient. He was very personable and open to easy conversation. He was able to provide insight on fish species and their patterns. I would say easy going fishing experience for no skill level.

Very knowledgeable and friendly

My father (93 years old), sister, and I, flew down from Canada to go fishing and had a great experience with Captain Nick! Our first day was 4 hours and the time just flew by. Our second trip out was 5 hours and we would have done 6 if the rain didn't start coming down! Nick was very knowledgeable on the hot spots, technique, fishing, area, and made it a great experience. He is very positive, helpful, encouraging, experienced, and an overall great guy! He always made sure we had fresh baits, was quick to replace hooks or solve whatever trouble we got ourselves into, offer nice refreshments, and we really feel like we maximized our time out on the water. I have no idea how many fish we caught but I would say it was over 50. There were a couple spots where fish would bite as soon as the bait hit the water. It was almost comical :) We caught a variety of fish which included: Spanish Mackerel, Sea Trout, Sea Bass, Grouper, Snook, and others that I have forgotten. The boat is wider than other boats we saw which gave us more room to walk around and cast. Especially, the few occasions where more than one of us was had fish on at once! It also had a place our father could lean/sit and still get good action. Unfortunately, for the 4 days we were in Florida, the forecast was rain every day! Nick suggested the best days to go as well as backup plans. We ended up fishing during the only nice weather and maximized our time out. It was a family trip we will never forget. Read this review, it’s long but tells you a lot. Did a half day trip with some family and Nick put us on the fish right away! From the first spot we went to our lines were never in the water longer than 2-3 minutes before pulling up one of the many fish found in Florida. He was super knowledgeable about each species and attentive to each fisherman on the boat. Nick is super laid back and personable. It was like Nick was just one of the boys out there fishing with us but don’t take that as he won’t work hard for you because my man moves quick to get you set up every time. We caught a bunch of grunts, hogs, mackerel, king fish, and more! He cut up the fish nicely for us as well! I had such a great time with Nick, I ask him if he would take me out the next day to the mangroves for some snook and red fish but I only had about 2 hours mid day to work with. Not a problem for Nick, he was super accommodating and communicative with me to work out a place and time. Again, in minutes of getting into the mangroves we were landing snook and red fish left and right. On the way in we hit a spot to catch a few trout as well. In 2 hours I believe we caught 15 fish and that is not an exaggeration. I couldn’t have asked for a better first time experience fishing in Longboat Key and I will without a doubt be back next year and calling Nick! Be sure to tell him exactly what you’re looking for on your trip! The more specific you are the more accurate he can be, trust me. (Species and size) I never met Nick before in my life before this trip so this is not a review by a family member or friend.

We had the best experience today fishing with Captain Nick! My son caught his first fish ever the first time he dropped a hook in the water. Captain Nick was a great host and took us to several spots. We caught a number of different species, grouper, mackerel, trout, blue, snook and even a small sandbar shark! His boat was terrific as well! It was very clean and in pristine condition. He explained to us that he rebuilt it himself over the past year. He did a great job! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Highly recommend!

Capt Nick was phenomenal / great personality ,he took us to multiple spots ,all of us caught several fish! He also cleaned them for us at the end . HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!! Everyone had a great day 👍

My son and I spent a great half day out with Nick. He took us to some great spots, taught us a thing or two and was great company. Nick was so great with my 9 yr old son. Definitely booking next time around!
