If you plan on fishing in Berkeley, look no further than Let ‘Em Eat Sportfishing.
Species like Sturgeon, Halibut, Striped Bass, Chinook Salmon, Leopard Shark, Rockfish, and more can be found in these waters if you come at the right time of year. During the trip, you might be spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Trips with Let ‘Em Eat Sportfishing are open to the whole family, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 24’ 2022 Hewescraft Sea Runner with a powerfull and reliable Honda 200hp outboard. The vessel carrys 6 passengers and has everything you need for an adventurous day on the water. You’ll find top of the line Stubborn rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Bait is always included!
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You will need to get a local fishing license and for Sturgeon a valid report card before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. You can’t go wrong when you bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Let ‘Em Eat Sportfishing will make it easy for you to go fishing in Berkeley. So, how about booking that trip?

Chatted with the captain months before the trip. Was warned that because of the tides the conditions could be ‘tough’. We had good weather in the morning with minimal wind. The targeted species was Halibut and Stripers. The captain briefed us on how to set up our live bait and the best way to keep the fish ‘on’ once hooked. Very important since it was quite different from how it works on Halibut in the Puget Sound in Washington. The scenery in the Bay was great, the fishing conditions tough. That said, with a bit of ‘grinding’ we caught a full limit of Halibut and some Stripers. Caught a nice 15lb Halibut and a beautiful big Striper. The captain and crew were great. Enjoyed the trip technically and socially. Would 100% fish with them again.
