If you plan on fishing in San Carlos, look no further than Reel Hard Fishing Charter. Your guides for the day are Captain Jesse (bilingual) and 1st mate Ramon, who have been fishing the sea of Cortez for over 20 years. Their experience will surely increase your odds of catching that trophy fish you have always dreamed of.

These waters are known for Bonito, Striped Marlin, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Yellowtail Amberjack, Wahoo, Mackerel, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Bigeye Tuna, Snowy Grouper, and more – with any luck, they’ll make your reel scream. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don’t forget to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

Your excursion begins aboard the Reel Hard, a 28’ Albin Downeast that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Some essentials to bring are sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.

Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Reel Hard Fishing Charter!
