You’ll be fishing aboard a 23’ Grady-White with a capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don’t forget to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Please note we pick at our dock of choice, so be sure to check with the captain.

Captain Wayne was great. He took us to several fishing spots on Lake Murray and had all the equipment ready to go. As soon as we got to the boat we were on our way. He showed multiple methods for catching stripped bass and we caught some of the biggest I have ever caught. Captain Wayne was happy to share his knowledge and experience and answered all our questions. I will definitely be calling him again. Recommend contacting Captain Wayne before booking your trip to ask about the best day and time for what and how you want to fish.

This was the family's first experience with a charter on any body of water, and Captain Wayne made it a memorable one! Everyone caught fish early which built excitement particularly for my two sons until age of 16. I would highly recommend booking with Captina Wayne and getting on the water before sunrise.
