Around here it’s common to catch Yellowfin Tuna, Mako Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Sailfish, Roosterfish, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Bonito, Amberjack, and more, depending on the season. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Your day begins aboard the Phantom, a 33’ Cabo Express offshore sport fishing vessel that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. Don’t leave home without bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks provided on board.

Alonzo and Victor were amazing! We did an 8 hour trip and it did not disappoint. They know where to fish and know how to fish. Can’t wait to come back and do it again with these guys!

First time in Cabo and my first fishing trip. Mario and Alonzo were great. I caught a huge wahoo and my fiancé caught a hammerhead. It was a great day!

The communication was good. Thw boat was the one I was looking for and the crew was kind. Cabo is a funny place with fishing and you don’t always know what you are gonna get. Here the liaison was in touch quickly and offered great communication throughout the experience. Its not top notch perfect equipment it is a good effort in Cabo. They came through after working with another agency had multiple switches and excuses so I was glad they got us on the water with some good guys.
