There's a fish with your name on it on Vancouver Island, BC, and Rugged West Coast Sport Fishing will help you catch it! Our most fished area for clients are at the Deep Bay Marina near Parksville and Qualicum Beach, BC.
Captain Jesse Sadler or Jonathan Skucas will be your guides, which allows you to benefit from years of professional experience. Both our guides have grown up in Ucluelet and Tofino and have spent years fishing and working with commercial and private guides.
Around here, it's common to catch Chum Salmon, Coho Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Pink Salmon, Flounder, Rockfish, Sculpin, and more if you come at the right time of year. During the trip, you might be trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Captains Jesse Sadler and Jonathan Skucas welcome you aboard a 25' Pursuit that holds up to 5 passengers. It comes with downriggers, outriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, and lures.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local BC fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Families who love fishing together will be glad that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. It's recommended to bring snacks, drinks, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.

4 Hour Trip- AM LOW DEPOSIT! on August 28, 2024
It was a great morning for limiting out! While there was a little chop on the water on the way out, things calmed down and we had a terrific time. Saw humpback whales breeching and finning all morning. We even had a two double headers and caught our limit by 11 AM. Captain was very knowledgeable, positive and survived a trip with 2 crazy seniors. We will do this again!

Wonderful Day on the Water
4 Hour Trip- AM LOW DEPOSIT! on July 24, 2024
We had a wonderful day on the water, although we didn't catch any Salmon large enough to bring home. The Crab Trap provided more fruitful with a pair of good size Red Rock Crab that were delicious. Captain Jeremy was great, and we enjoyed the trip. While it may have been nice to have brought home a nice Chinook, we all had fun and would like to come again!

Jesse our captain was a great guide and knew where to go and what to do to start getting the bites. He was super friendly and easy going. We lost a big one, we think to a sea lion which was a bit of a disappointment but at the same time pretty entertaining. Lol. We probably hooked 10 or more salmon and took a good one home with us. Overall a great day!! Thanks Jesse!!
