Ready to catch some fish in Rockport? Look no further than D Reel Guiding!

Depending on conditions, you might hook into Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and whatever else is biting. You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, popping, drifting, or something more specialized in this area. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that’s dinner!

Your fishing machine for the day is a 23’ Shoalwater Cat that can carry up to 5 passengers. Capt. Dustin will provide rods and reels for you on all trips except for wade fishing trips. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself. Wade trips will include wade belts, nets, and lures but encourage anglers to bring their own rods.

You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome!

It’s never a bad idea to bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen (non-spray). Your captain will provide bottled water and ice. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Lodging is also available at a discounted rate if fishing trip is booked at the RockiN R Cottage which is a mile from the boat ramp. RockiN R Cottage is a fully furnished 3/2 home.
