Make an adventure out of your next trip in Crystal River and go fishing with Live Action Fishing Adventures 2. With Captain Nicholas at the helm, you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.

Local species include Cobia, Gag Grouper, Scallop, Sheepshead, Flounder, Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, Snook, Tarpon, Tripletail, and more with any luck. On these trips, you can expect to bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Nicholas also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.

Capt. Nicholas welcomes children aboard, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!

Capt. Nicholas runs a 21’ Sportsman bay boat that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain. Some essentials to bring are sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some bottled water on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
